Deck the Halls

This year I wanted to make a Christmas quilt for the hall, it will be the first thing you see when you walk in the door. I love this pattern that I saw in a Quilt Now magazine, it’s a variation of a log cabin pattern that forms a light green spiral inside the wreath, with the middle of each square a red “berry” – very fun! I am very pleased with how it’s turning out. The blocks themselves make a very blocky wreath, which is smoothed out by the border which adds two new steps and thus makes it more donut shaped. The quilt is currently pinned and ready to begin the quilting process tonight. If I can get it finished by Thanksgiving I will be very happy.
