Birmingham Quilt Show

This past weekend I went to the quilt show in Birmingham, UK. I arrived very early Saturday and left early Monday morning, and it was a whirlwind of artistic inspiration.

My personal contributions to this amazing quilt show brought me great joy. First, the group quilt that I worked on with my sewing group Just Threads which we called Springing Along. I visited this quilt several times:

My individual piece is a small mobius band which fell into the Quilting Creations category. A mobius band is fun to make since it needs no backing, it backs itself. The binding is just one long continuous piece. I sewed it in the order of the color wheel so that it showed primary colors from one angle and secondary colors from the opposite angle, and called the piece Mobius Colors:
